Monthly Overview (February 2025)

February

This month, the apparel market continued to perform steadily mainly for luxury brands, supported by strong inbound sales.

In our company, the sales of spring items at department stores, our main sales channel, struggled significantly due to the initial slow start caused by low temperatures in the first half of the month. However, the final clearance sales of autumn and winter items through e-commerce and outlet channels performed well. Despite having one less business day compared to last year, which was a leap year, we were able to maintain sales at the same level as the previous year.

Consequently, monthly sales of department stores, directly managed stores, outlets, and other brick-and-mortar stores totaled 98% and EC sales reached 108% compared with the previous year, respectively. As a result, the company's overall sales were 100% compared with the previous year.
(104% year-on-year comparison with the same number of days excluding the leap day of the previous year)

In terms of cumulative performance for the second half of the fiscal year, sales of brick-and-mortar stores were 98% of the previous year, EC sales were 103%, and the company's overall sales were 99% of the previous year.
