Monthly Overview (October 2025)

October

The apparel market for the month generally showed steady progress, with autumn and winter items gaining momentum due to a gradual decline in temperature from late in the month. The high-end goods market, including luxury brands, recovered as inbound consumption rebounded.

In our company, until the middle of the month, sales of autumn and winter items remained sluggish due to unusually high temperatures. However, with the temperature decline during the latter part of the month, autumn and winter items, especially coats, suddenly began selling well, resulting in sales significantly exceeding the previous year. Nevertheless, we were unable to completely cover the poor performance until mid-month, resulting in 99% compared to the previous year’s figures. In terms of sales channels, department stores fell below the previous year, while e-commerce (EC) and outlet stores continued to perform well, significantly exceeding the previous year.

As a consequence of the above, sales at department stores, directly managed stores, outlets, and other brick-and-mortar stores were 97% of the previous year, EC sales were 112% of the previous year, and total company sales were 99% of the previous year's level.
