Monthly Overview (December 2024)

December

The apparel market this month remained strong, supported by strong inbound demand in the luxury market. Additionally, the general apparel market also showed steady progress, with the sales of heavy clothing items such as coats and outerwear progressing well due to lower temperatures.

We also saw a year-on-year increase mainly in department stores, our main sales channel, as heavy clothing items such as coats and outerwear, which had been slow to start, finally began full-scale operations.

As a consequence, the monthly sales of department stores, directly managed stores, outlet stores, and other brick-and-mortar stores for December totaled 103%, EC sales were 99%, and the company-wide sales were 102% compared with the previous year.
