Monthly Overview (July 2025)

FY2026

July

In the apparel market for the month, luxury brands and other high-end product markets continued to struggle significantly due to the impact of a sharp decline in inbound demand. Similarly, in the general apparel market, consumer sentiment has cooled down partly due to persistent price increases and growing uncertainty about the outlook for international and domestic politics and economics. In particular, the mid to high-end market, especially in department stores, has remained sluggish.

Our company has also experienced an extremely significant impact from the challenging situation in department stores, our main sales channel, and sales of full-priced products continued to show difficult progress during the month. On the other hand, sales at e-commerce (EC) and outlet stores significantly exceeded the previous year's figures. However, this was not enough to offset the decline in full-priced sales, resulting in a slightly lower outcome compared to the previous year.

As a consequence of the above, the monthly total sales of department stores, directly managed stores, outlets, and other brick-and-mortar stores in July reached 95% of the previous year's level. EC sales were 118% of the previous year, but overall sales were 99% of the previous year's level.
