Monthly Overview (November 2024)

November

In the apparel market during the month, the luxury market remained strong, supported by strong inbound demand. The general apparel market also remained firm due to the start of oparations of cold weather items along with lower temperatures from mid-November onwards, which resulted in a turnaround from the weak performance in October.

We struggled in the first half of the month due to continued high temperatures. However, with lower temperatures in the second half of the month and the gradual start of full-scale operations of heavy clothing such as coats and outerwear, sales through department stores and directly managed stores and other full-priced sales channels showed a significant year-on-year increase.

The overall monthly progress was almost unchanged from the previous year.
As a consequence of the above, the monthly total sales of department stores, directly managed stores, outlets, and other brick-and-mortar stores in November was 101% of the previous year, EC sales were 95% of the previous year, and the company-wide sales were 100% of the previous year.
