About Clothing Education Classes
In the clothing education class, the work and process of making clothes are explained, and through making bags using leftover cloth, the fun of making clothes and the spirit of wearing clothes with care for a long time are fostered.
Since 2014, we have been offering clothing education classes to elementary schools in Tokyo. Since 2017, we have collaborated with Eco Gallery Shinjuku (Shinjuku City Environmental Learning Information Center) to provide classes for children in Shinjuku City, contributing to the promotion of participation in the "Environmental Diary," an environmental education project by Eco Gallery Shinjuku.
In recent years, with the strengthening of SDGs education under the new Courses of Study, there has been a need for practical learning opportunities for sustainability education and career education. In 2025, for the first time, we held clothing education classes at an elementary school in Shibuya-ku.
Nurturing a spirit of using things with care for a long time
In the Clothing Education Class, through the experience of experiencing the work of designers and pattern makers involved in making clothes, we convey that the things around us take a lot of time and human hands, and the importance of taking good care of our clothes and other things around us.
In addition, as a practice of "upcycling", which is one of the sustainable ideas, we have participants experience making fans and mask cases using our company's leftover cloth, thereby conserving limited resources for the future rather than simply disposing of them. The theme is to convey the importance of passing it on to the next generation. We will continue to create learning opportunities for children by leveraging our technology and commitment to clothing manufacturing.

Movies for raising clothes
We have been making use of our track record of providing clothing education classes at elementary schools since 2014 to produce videos of clothing education classes for kids with the aim of creating a place where they can learn regardless of location or time. We have created a "Let's Learn about Clothing Education Video" section on Sanyo's corporate website.
Sanyo will continue to create opportunities to learn for a wide range of age groups.
About "let's learn about Clothing Education Video"
In the "Let's learn about Clothing Education Video" section, videos are divided into two categories: "Know and Learn" and "Create".
In "Know and Learn", we introduce the process from materials to clothing and the concept of up-cycles, while touching on our business. In "Create", we introduce how to use the remaining fabric to experience the up-cycles.
SANYO Fukufuku Prize
Sanyo, headquartered in Shinjuku Ward, sponsored the Shinjuku Ward "Green Lane" Environmental Diary Contest, sponsored by Eco-Gallery Shinjuku (Shinjuku Ward Environmental Learning Information Center). In fiscal 2018, we established SANYO Fukufuku Prize as a corporate prize to recognize excellent works related to clothing and fabrics.
As a local company, we are contributing to environmental education that fosters children's minds to use things with care for a long time by awarding them the "SANYO Fukufuku Prize".
About the "SANYO Fukufuku Prize"
The Shinjuku Ward "Green Lane" environmental diary contest for children of Shinjuku Ward elementary schools distributes the "Green Lane" environmental diary in Shinjuku Ward to all elementary schools in Shinjuku Ward. Sanyo awards the "SANYO Fukufuku Prize" for children who have written excellent diaries on clothing and fabrics, for the entries of around 1000 items annually.

EARTH TO WEAR activities

A project launched in 2017 by volunteers.
We hold workshops using the opposite of the remainder to convey the "background of clothing creation" and the "enjoyment of manufacturing", and create opportunities for consumers and our employees to consider "sustainable" together.
