October 20, 2020Activities with employee

At Sanyo, we endorse the initiatives of a voluntary group CO-FUKU. We use the expertise of our Technical Development Department to understand the concerns and issues faced by persons with disabilities, and hold a problem-solving workshops that resolve each problem in clothing. We also participate in initiatives to redesign masks that embody these ideas.

About the voluntary organization CO-FUKU

CO-FUKU, a voluntary organization, was established in 2016 by volunteers from the apparel industry who agree with the purpose of "a society where anyone can enjoy fashion in their own way, in their own way".

Initiatives Taken by Sanyo

2019 "Shin CO-FUKU Juku" held

2019 "Shin CO-FUKU Juku" fashion show

A voluntary group, CO-FUKU, played a central role in the management of the Group, and held the "Shin CO-FUKU Juku".
The CO-FUKU Juku is a continuous problem-solving workshop in which diverse people gather and wear their clothes to understand the fashion concerns and issues faced by people with disabilities, redesign them, make them, and present results. "Shin CO-FUKU Juku" which was born from this CO-FUKU Juku school, is a term multiplied by Shinjuku.

We are sponsoring and cooperating with Shinjuku Ward-based companies and organizations such as Shinjuku Ward Welfare Association for the Physically Challenged, a social welfare corporation. Employees in the Patterner's position participated in this initiative, and we redesigned clothing using the knowledge and experience we have developed over the years.

2020 "CO-FUKU Mask"

In response to the need for masks throughout the year due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we implemented the "CO-FUKU Mask" initiative to think about "masks" with new ideas and ideas.
In this initiative, three apparel manufacturers participated in a meeting to share the issues and problems faced by people with disabilities when it comes to ready-made masks, and each company pooled their wisdom to materialize their ideas and commercialize them.

We listened to the concerns of people with disabilities, and a team from the Technical Development Department worked on making masks while sharing the knowledge they had gained from making clothes.
